QUALIFICATIONS OF IDEAL CANDIDATES
-Experienced bookkeeper with high integrity and an advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and principles of business accounting.
-Positive and effective communicator. Warm personality. Solutions oriented.
-Quick learner who has a strong technical aptitude and can quickly become proficient with several computer systems related to the job.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Prepare employee payroll twice a month using software from our payroll vendor. Payroll process includes entering new employees, file exports and imports, timesheet collection, tax reporting, ACA reporting, 401k reporting, and Quickbooks entries.
-Prepare client invoices twice a month including finalizing billing records, long-term care insurance billing, and other related tasks.
-Regularly monitor and collect on accounts receivable.
-Handling of payments to vendors both by check and through online methods.
-Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
-Assist franchise owner with quarterly financial reporting to franchisor.
-Coordinate with owner and CPA on tasks related to annual tax filings.
-Monitor compliance requirements for credit card processor and 401k plan.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Attend team meetings.
-Help to resolve client and employee questions relating to invoicing and payroll.
-Willingness to help with a variety of duties as needed and requested by the general manager.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
-The bookkeeper reports to the general manager and the franchise owner.
-Previous bookkeeper of 10 years is still on staff in another capacity and is available as a trainer and mentor.
HOURS, COMPENSATION, BENEFITS
-Work from 25-35 hours per week. Hours to flex around payroll and invoicing cycles.
-Hourly wage in the $20 or more range depending on experience and qualifications.
-Kaiser health benefits available for employees who average at least 30 hours per week.
-401K with company match.
